Mugdha's time to disco!

If there was one thing missing at Thane, it was a discotheque. But now, the Panoramic Group of Companies has come up with Orbits, Thane’s first party hotspot to fill in the gap. That’s right!

Orbits Discotheque is going to change the face of partying for Thaneites. Its inauguration recently was a memorable affair with beautiful ladies Mugdha Godse, Aarti Chabria and Anchal Kumar lending their charming presence to it. Chairman Sudhir Moravekar and MD Vidya Moravekar were in high spirits as they welcomed guests to take a look around. The aesthetically done theme-lighting and chic interiors were appreciated by all. And if guests wanted to just chill out after a high-octane number, or satiate their appetite, there was yummy food served at the special area at level two. With the hi-decibel techno sound system especially imported from HK, Germany, DJ Akbar Sami’s foot-tapping numbers got just the response he wanted! One of the largest discotheques in and around Mumbai, Orbits certainly spells good news for Thane’s party crowd!

Mugdha Godse cheats

Although Rubb and his team have registered the script now, they are deeply hurt because of being betrayed by Mithun and Mugdha. Consequently, Rubb and Mithun don’t even look at each other after their friendship of five years ended on a bitter note.

After asking newcomers Rubb Bhungdawala and Sundeep Choudhary to write the script of her next film Trance, in which she co-stars with on-off boyfriend Mithun Purandare, Mugdha didn’t think twice before paying them a paltry Rs 10,000 and taking complete possession of the script. What’s even more shocking is that Rubb was Mithun’s close friend before things went wrong.

She is barely three films old but Mugdha Godse has already learnt some infamous Bollywood tricks.

Madhur chooses Marilyn over Madhubala

Rubb, a corporate ad director, was introduced to Mugdha by Mithun. Rubb says, “Sandeep and I were asked to direct this film. Our team also comprised scriptwriter Harish Kotiyan and associate director Rauf Bhungdawala.

We prepared over 19 drafts and left our regular jobs to work on this film. We were aware that Mugdha is the film’s lead actress, but later we also got to know that she is also the co-producer with Sanjay Pandey who owns the production house Full Power Entertainment in Bandra East.”

Rubb says that they didn’t sign any contract as they blindly trusted Mithun and Mugdha. Rubb was shocked when Mithun, Mugdha and Sanjay Pandey handed them Rs 10,000 and ‘bought’ the script. “Mugdha and Mithun used us and threw us away. After giving us the money, they also gave an emotional speech of how much they appreciate our hard work.

I don't listen to anyone but myself: Mughda Godse

We worked really hard for almost three months to write this film based on drugs. We also had regular meetings with Mugdha at her Versova residence.

They also said that they don’t want us to direct this film and are looking for a high-profile director. Thereafter we haven’t received a single call from them. I have all the SMSes from Mugdha on my phone when she used to contact me while we were working on the script,” adds Rubb.

Commenting on Mithun’s reaction, Rubb says, “Mithun is Mugdha’s chamcha. She is the sole decision maker. Woh usko bolti hai uth toh uth, baith toh baith. One of the most important reasons she didn’t want us on board was because this is Mithun’s launch movie so we wrote the script keeping his character in mind. She is self-centred. She didn’t like the idea of me and or my team giving so much attention to him.”

Mugdha Godse guides herself

"I am a hardcore Leo who doesn't listen to anyone. That's the way I have always been, I follow my heart. I have come from Pune to Mumbai on my own and this is the way I intend to stay on in this industry as well," Mugdha told PTI.

The actress, who got her first big break in Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' two years ago, credits her own good judgement for the choices she made.

She comes from a totally non-filmi background and is just three-movies-old in Bollywood, but Mugdha Godse trusts her own instinct when it comes to taking up new projects.

After debuting with Madhur Bandarkar's 'Fashion', the former model went on to do 'All The Best' which raked in the moolah at the box-office.

Mugdha, Neil in Madhur’s next

"I WOULD WANT TO STEAL MY AUDIENCE'S HEARTS!" - VIVEK OBEROI

Before making his dream project with Kareena Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to make a comedy film, which will be a quickie. The film has Neil Mukesh and Mugdha Godse in lead roles and is titled Dil Toh Baccha Hai.
“Kareena is doing Madhur’s next film, but she has given dates in October and Madhur has six months before that, so he has decided to make a quick film in the meanwhile. He has Neil and Mugdha and wants one more major actor in the film. He is in talks with Sanjay Dutt for the film and things are being finalised so shooting can start soon.

Madhur chooses Marilyn over Madhubala

Eva Gardner, Marilyn Monroe and Vivien Leigh — these are the three legendary Hollywood beauties whom director Madhur Bhandarkar will use as reference points for Kareena Kapoor’s character in Heroine.
To make her job easier, Madhur has prepared a 3-hour documentary on these Hollywood greats. But no female legends from Indian cinema find mention in the documentary.

Counters Madhur, “Take Vivien Leigh — her stormy relationship with Sir Laurence Olivier is so eventful, dramatic and romantic. Unfortunately there’s no substantial footage on Madhubala or Meena Kumari revealing their relationship with Kishore Kumar and Kamal Amrohi respectively.”

The filmmaker says he is appalled by the lack of even written records about Indian screen legends. “I do want Kareena to refer back to our great actresses like Madhubala, Nargis and Nutan. I think Kareena has elements of Nutan’s personality. But I can only brief her verbally about them. It’s really sad. Kareena is shooting for Ra.One and Gol Maal 3. Once she’s done, she will watch the documentary repeatedly,” says Madhur, adding that the shooting of Heroine has been pushed to December so that Kareena gets time to study the documentary carefully.

Mugdha Godse loves being at her own pace

After making an impressive debut in FASHION, Mugdha Godse enjoyed the release of two her films - ALL THE BEST and JAIL - almost back to back. However, ever since then, she hasn't seen a release to her name. While it has been close to six months since the release of these films, Mugdha's HELP is a little while away. Doesn't she ever feel that a prolonged absence like this could be harmful to one's career?

"Yes, it did play in my mind but not for much time", Mugdha says after a pause, "But then as you also must be aware, there are so few projects that anyways kick started in the film industry last year. So many films have either stopped shooting or are completed but stuck for release. There are lot of things happening today and these are slightly fickle times. The thing is that since ALL THE BEST and JAIL released within a fortnight of each other, people feel that I have been missing from the scene for six months. If there was a gap of three months between the two films, the pace would have looked just perfect."

Mugdha goes back to her Ex-boyfriend

This is the reason why she is content with the way her personal and professional life is treating her.

"Everything is going good. There is no empty space for anything. Also, I don't think that an actor can do more than 3 films a year. That too is a maximum limit by the way. Meanwhile, I have finished a horror thriller HELP with Bobby Deol and it is up for release. So audience would be seeing me again. In any case I was so busy with other things as well other than shooting. There were award functions, performances and appearances as well. So as you can see, the other side of an actor's life was pretty much on". Mugdha brings on a laugh before signing off.

Mugdha goes back to her Ex-boyfriend

Looks like whatever happens, happens for the best. Mugdha Godse, who had a car accident on Wednesday, had one little thing to gain from it – she got her ex-boyfriend, model/actor Mithun Purandare into her life again. Though they aren't dating again, they have been spending time together.

She relied on Mithun for help when she was in trouble after the accident. As she barely has any close friends in Mumbai, she didn't know what she wanted to do when the accident turned into a police case.

She realized she needed a man with her as there was a chance of things going against her. That's when she thought of Mithun. This is the first time she got back in touch with Mithun after their breakup last year.

Mugdha and Mithun became friends when they met for the shooting of a music video directed by Jagdish Mali in 2003. They dated for about five years until their split in 2009.

Mithun got there as soon as he could and accompanied her home after all her work at the police station finished around 1.30pm in the night. According to sources, they spent some time talking to each other in the night and their feelings for each other seemed quite clear.
